I have heard that music speaks to the heart without the need of understanding language. That babies in the womb, plants, and all creatures respond to the magic of song. Dance transforms the body into an instrument of the heart and for that moment one disappears into wonder or rapture.
This painting of children, accompanied by dogs, dancing with the sun is for those who make the time to dance and especially for those that help others to dance. May the world open its heart to more music, more dance, and by the natural extension, more love.
The inspiration for the painting was Susanna who works with children to better their lives (whose son Joel provided help when I was stuck) and Masaka Kids Africana Dancing Joy Of Togetherness
