This year has been considered one of transitions. For most, transitions are thought of as challenging. Yet life is based on transitions, often stepping over these thresholds are the stuff that remembrances are made of. Seasons can be this way, one day autumn and the next, winter. The brief time when autumn still shows her colors through winter’s snow can be breathtaking, this painting attempts to capture just that fleeting moment.
As we move to celebrate festivals of light, Hanukkah, the Solstice, Christmas and Kwanza, may we find times of hope through each transition.
