On Thanksgiving morning, I hiked the path between Lithia Park and the Ashland, Oregon, Reservoir. The sun was just filtering through the trees melting the frost, on the bridges it looked like tiny crystals sparkling in the light, and hazardous on the wooden bridges still icy before the eventually melt.
On my way back from the Reservoir I stopped by the eastern bank of the Bear Creek. The many colored leaves carpeted the ground with bright moss clinging to tree and rock along with the rushing sound of the creek inspired me to create this oil painting on paper.
Every day I express gratitude, on this day that brings attention to giving thanks, I took the moment to reinforce my appreciation for the forest and water ways.
Hoping you had a Thankful day, and every day after.
